As a TAPCO Account Solutions Manager you will be responsible for the effective and efficient performance of the Account Solutions function. You will oversee control of loan and credit accounts that are late, potentially delinquent or delinquent accounts and makes recommendations for final actions on accounts. You will provide leadership, direction and training support to Account Solutions, Titles and Insurance staff and ensure members receive courteous, professional and timely service. What you'll do:

  • Be responsible for the effective and efficient performance of the Account Solutions, Titles and Insurance function. Ensure that collection activities are conducted with care and in accordance with Credit Union policies and legal/regulatory requirements.
  • Make recommendations on charge offs, repossessions foreclosures, and various court collection actions. Oversee and perform duties to execute approved actions.
  • Be responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual reports requirements.
  • Assist Credit Union staff with difficult and complex collection situations.
  • Provide leadership and direction to Accounts Solutions, Titles and Insurance staff. Ensure staff are well trained and understand Credit Union policies/procedures and legal requirements. Monitors individual performance and effectiveness.
  • Utilize effective human relation skills and persuasion to calm unhappy members and resolve negative situations.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge on all credit union products and services.
  • Be responsible for preparing and providing auditor requests in a timely manner.
  • Maintain effective quality control of vendors to ensure performance standards.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge on all credit union products and services.
  • As appropriate, explain and cross-sell other credit union services.
  • Model a high level of member service and professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Work with legal to coordinate collection efforts.

Let's talk if you:

  • Have a High School diploma, or equivalent.
  • Have 5 to 10 years collections experience or related training
  • Have knowledge of collection practices and federal/state consumer collection regulations.
  • Have strong interpersonal, leadership and supervisory skills, and experience managing others
  • Have good verbal communication skills with ability to calm and persuade unhappy members
  • Have good negotiation skills.
  • Are able to perform basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages). Have knowledge of basic accounting and bookkeeping principles.
  • Are able to use related computer software, Microsoft Office products and business equipment, including adding machine, copy machine, coin and money counting machines.
  • Pursue all tasks with energy, drive, urgency, and the need to successfully finish.
  • Enjoy taking on challenges that may seem difficult as well as seizing opportunities as they come.
  • Are a team player that consistently aspires to grow and improve.
