Summary and Mission:

Title: Graphic Designer
Starting Rate: $21.78/hr

As a TAPCO Graphic Designer you will be able to use your skills and expertise for the creation and design of print and digital marketing elements. You’ll use innovation, imagination, and originality in completing a variety of digital and graphics design duties to further marketing objectives in all mediums. You will create eye-catching collateral, digital, and campaign specific elements, while maintaining brand guidelines and ensure all visual content is in brand, consistent in terms of style, quality, and appearance, and optimized for user experience on all channels. You will provide professional graphics, images, videos, and designs for all digital channels and print graphics. What you'll do:

  • Design and develop graphics, layouts and finished artwork for various types of projects, uphold existing creative standards and ensure brand compliance. Projects include publications, direct marketing pieces, flyers, mailings, invitations, posters, and web graphics.
  • Create and/or maintain and revise all literature, forms, disclosures, newsletters and other general credit union information materials to enhance and convey the credit image and brand identity.
  • Create and execute all digital and print promotional campaign materials.
  • Support the production of digital and printed newsletters.
  • Identify emerging design trends and techniques and make recommendations to management.
  • Create and maintain layouts and templates within the credit union union’s email marketing and automation platform.
  • Design content per request from areas around the credit union. Insure overall brand integrity is maintained throughout the credit union’s various mediums.
  • Ensure consistent voice and tone across all copy and marketing materials in alignment with the brand guidelines.
  • Meet deadlines while staying organized and handling multiple, ongoing content projects.
  • Proactively offer ideas for content, promotions, social media, and other initiatives.
  • Administer content on social and digital channels.
  • Coordinate the content and development of the credit union’s annual report.
  • Create and/or maintain and revise all literature, forms, disclosures, newsletters and other general credit union information materials to enhance and convey the credit image and brand identity.
  • Edit, proofread, and revise communication to ensure accuracy and comply with regulatory guidelines.
  • Review, implement, and maintain web content and related in-branch materials as needed.
  • Identify, develop, and execute communication campaigns for key contacts and audience.
  • Monitor industry trends, developments, and reports and make recommendations for evolving the marketing efforts.
  • Work within the marketing team to support and execute the credit union’s strategic initiatives.
  • Other duties may include supporting the marketing team and participating in community outreach events.

Let's talk if you have:

  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Copywriting, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education is preferred.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in banking operations, including teller services, member service and/or loan administration
  • Knowledge of consumer lending practices and federal/state consumer lending regulations. 
  • The ability to lead and motivate others.
  • Have three to five years of experience in graphic design or related area.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills to represent the credit union professionally and positively and to interact effectively with members, staff, and management.
  • Are proficient in using Microsoft Office applications, Adobe Creative Suite, and other creative software applications.
  • Have excellent time management, organizational and analytical skills, and are able to coordinate a variety of project and pay close attention to detail.
  • Pursue all tasks with energy, drive, urgency, and the need to successfully finish.
  • Are a team player that consistently aspires to grow and improve.
